Dr. Kristina McGinnis is from a small town just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended North Carolina State University where she majored in Animal Science and minored in Genetics. Dr. McGinnis participated in equine breeding and foaling internships throughout her undergraduate career. She graduated valedictorian in 2011 and continued her education at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, Dr. McGinnis took a special interest in reproduction, neonatology, ophthalmology, sports medicine, and integrative medicine.
Dr. McGinnis graduated from veterinary school with an equine focus in 2015. She then moved to Dover, New Hampshire where she completed a one-year rotating internship in sports medicine and surgery, internal medicine, and ambulatory services at New England Equine Medical and Surgical Center. After completing her internship, she attended Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic and received certification with the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She also attended the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine where she studied veterinary acupuncture.
Kristina is an avid Carolina Panthers and Wolfpack football fan. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse Oliver, spending time at the beach or lake, and relaxing with her dog Reilly.
